Why us
Built to be trusted.
An engineering partner for regulated and mission-critical software — the team you bring in when the integration is messy, the compliance bar is real, and the vendor who demos well can't actually ship.
What you get
Working systems, delivered and documented.
Not slideware, not a pilot that never reaches production, not AI bolted on for its own sake. The person you talk to is the person who builds.
Where AI fits
Used where it removes work. Kept out where it doesn't.
AI is applied where it measurably removes work — extraction, triage, drafting, anomaly detection — and kept out of the path where a wrong answer causes harm. Codenovis is an engineering company that uses AI well, not an AI company looking for a problem.
“This part isn't a fit for AI — a wrong extraction here reaches a patient record. We'd keep a human in the loop.”
Personality
Three qualities we hold ourselves to.
Precise
Specific numbers, named constraints, honest scope. Precision is the whole product.
Grounded
Plain language over jargon. Nothing described as revolutionary that is merely useful.
Forward
Current tools, current methods — adopted because they work, not because they trend.
Who we are
A 25-person engineering team, not a solo contractor.
Codenovis is based in Ahmedabad, India, led by Hardik Shah as founder & principal engineer. Every engagement is staffed by senior engineers from that team, not routed to whoever is available — the person scoped on the call is accountable for the work, whether it's a fixed-scope build or a Dedicated Node.
How we work with you
The short version of the engagement model.
- A scope call, not a sales pitch — written scope, explicit exclusions
- Fixed-scope build or a Dedicated Node, your choice per engagement
- Working software shown weekly, not a status slide at the end
- Documented handover your own team can actually extend
Questions
Frequently asked.
Who owns the intellectual property we build together?
You do. Work product ownership is a standard part of every engagement agreement — this is confirmed in writing before work starts, not left ambiguous.
Do you sign NDAs and MSAs?
Yes, as a standard part of the scope call — before any detail about your systems or data needs to be shared.
How do you handle our codebase and data?
Access scoped to what the engagement actually requires, with the same handling standard we apply to client work generally — see Security & Compliance for how that review works in practice.
Can we hire your engineers directly later?
That's a conversation to have directly if it comes up — the priority is getting your systems working, not maximizing engagement length.
What we're not
Worth being explicit about.
Not playful
No cartoon marks, no mascots, no exclamation marks — not when we're asking to touch systems that have real consequences.
Not a generic offshore shop
No stock handshake photography, no “we deliver quality solutions,” no flag-and-clock trust signals.
Not an AI hype brand
No neural-network wallpaper, no glowing brains, no purple-gradient robot imagery.
