What we actually collect, and why.
Written to describe what this site actually does, not a template filled with boilerplate we don't follow.

Data we collect
Only what you give us through the contact form.
When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, work email, company (if provided), and message, plus which "challenge" option you selected if any. That submission is sent by email to our team — it is not written to a database, and Codenovis does not currently operate a database for this site.
We don't collect anything else. No account creation, no payment details, no browsing history beyond the strictly necessary storage described below.
Cookies & local storage
One necessary entry, one optional one — your choice.
This site sets a single local-storage entry that remembers your cookie-consent choice, so we don't ask you again on every page — this is strictly necessary storage under GDPR and doesn't require consent itself.
If you accept analytics through the cookie banner, we also load Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to measure page views and general usage patterns. It stays off until you say yes, and you can change your decision at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer — Google Analytics is removed immediately if you withdraw consent.
Third parties
The email service, and — only if you opt in — Google Analytics.
Contact form submissions are relayed through an SMTP email service to reach our inbox, solely to deliver the message; it isn't used for marketing. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics also receives standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) under Google's own privacy policy. No other third party currently receives data from this site.
Retention
Kept only as long as it takes to respond.
Contact form messages live in our email inbox and are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond to your inquiry and keep a record of the conversation, then deleted on request.
Your rights
Access, correction, or deletion — just ask.
If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you, and to object to how it's processed. If you're in India, the DPDP Act gives you comparable rights as a data principal. Either way, email hello@codenovis.comand we'll act on it directly — there's no automated system to route the request through.
Children
This site isn't directed at children.
Codenovisis a B2B site for evaluating engineering and AI services. We don't knowingly collect data from children, and the contact form isn't intended for use by anyone under 18.
Changes
This page will change as the site does.
If we add analytics, a database, or new third-party tools, this page gets updated to reflect that before it happens, not after. This is a good-faith description of current practice, not a substitute for your own legal advice if you need to rely on it for a specific compliance requirement.
